Our Safe Environment Ministry is dedicated to the protection of our children, youth, and vulnerable adults, ensuring that our parish remains a sanctuary of peace and trust.

Our Vision

The Volunteer Screening Initiative is meticulously designed to create, maintain, and promote a safe environment for everyone to whom we minister. Beyond compliance, this initiative exists to:

• Support our volunteers by preserving their safety, integrity, and reputation.

• Protect the vulnerable, ensuring our children and youth are in a secure space.

• Fulfill our sacred duty as a caring faith community.

Our parish strictly adheres to the comprehensive policies and procedures implemented by the Eparchy of Mississauga. We work in harmony with Eparchial standards to ensure that our screening process is consistent, transparent, and effective. Guided by the standards of the Eparchy of Mississauga, our Safe Environment Ministry works tirelessly to foster a culture of “Sacred Trust.” We recognize that protecting the vulnerable is not just a policy, but a legal and moral principle known as “Duty of Care.” This principle identifies our obligation as an organization to take every reasonable measure to protect those who participate in our programs. 

We are profoundly grateful for the willingness of our volunteers to serve. By participating in our Safe Environment requirements, we can actively participate in the protection of God’s flock. Together, we can ensure that our parish remains a place where everyone can grow in faith without fear. Annual training sessions are designed to help our community recognize, prevent, and report any signs of misconduct or harm.

Our Committee Members

Our local committee is dedicated to assisting volunteers through the screening process and maintaining the highest standards of safety within our parish. The assigned committee members are Suby Bobby, Blaizy John, Maris Stella Jacob.
