To serve at the Altar is to stand at the feet of Christ

The Altar Servers ministry is a unique calling for the young members of our parish to assist the priest during the Holy Qurbana and other liturgical celebrations. It is not just a duty, but a spiritual journey that fosters discipline, reverence, and a deep love for the Blessed Sacrament.

St. Alphonsa Parish is blessed with a large team of kids with a strong desire to serve God and the Church.  Guided by deep faith and a commitment to service, our altar servers play a vital role in the Holy Qurbana. Through their disciplined assistance and devotion, they help elevate our worship and inspire others to serve the Lord with a joyful heart.

Dedicated Guides to Train and Help Them

Our altar servers are supported by dedicated guides and animators who help them learn and grow in their ministry. These guides:

• Teach them how to serve during Mass

• Explain the meaning of different parts of the liturgy

• Help them practice their duties

• Encourage reverence and confidence

• Support new servers as they learn

Join Our Team

We invite all kids who have received their First Holy Communion and are interested in serving at the altar to join our Altar Servers Ministry. Training and guidance will be provided to them to ensure their roles and responsibilities.
