Crib Competition 2025
St. Alphonsa Parish, Cambridge, organized a Christmas Crib Competition in celebration of the joyous season. Many families enthusiastically participated, creating beautiful and meaningful cribs that reflected the spirit of Christmas.
From each ward unit, one crib is selected as the best entry to represent that ward. A panel of 3 judges then visited the selected cribs to evaluate them based on creativity, presentation, eco-friendliness, and spiritual message. The event fostered community spirit, family involvement, and a deeper understanding of the true meaning of Christmas. It was very challenging for us to decide which crib was the most beautiful, as all the displays showed excellent presentation and creativity.

All the cribs are very creative, but one of them is more innovative than the others. The crib is beautifully designed, with a variety of ideas and decorations. This crib is primarily made from eco-friendly materials, including the structure and surrounding elements. The cribs were adorable and were made using cardboard. The rituals look attractive, and the arrangements are very systematic. At the top, there is a beautiful star and a blinking moon. The moon appears to be shadowed by clouds, and its colour keeps changing. On one side, there is a lovely waterfall with a stream containing stones and plants. On the other side, there is a small inn. Near the crib, there is a small mountain that closely resembles a real one, made from hardboard and eco-friendly materials.

It was a real challenge to identify which crib was mostly made of natural materials. Most of them were made from natural materials such as paper, cardboard, plants, seeds, and hay. The crib was made using hay and cardboard, while the inn was made of hardboard. The pathway to the manger the Magi used appears to be made of real stone, but it was actually made from small pieces of hardboard. The stream flowing from the mountain appears frozen due to the cold. The side wall features a blue sky with a shining paper-and-paint star. The overall craftwork is genuinely excellent. The theme was arranged very nicely without overcrowding or making the setup look messy.

It was tough to decide which crib was best, as all were superb and gorgeous. However, one crib stood out for its variety of unique and creative ideas. There was a stream with live fish, and it also had a water turbine. The crib was made entirely using hay and cardboard. The figures were neatly arranged, and the pathway to the stable was beautifully laid with stones. The mountain and stream looked very realistic and attractive, very special ideas were created in a crib.
Overall, the Crib competition was a fantastic and memorable event of 2025
